was born June 1, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee. The baby of a family with four older siblings was born to Morgan Porter freeman, Sr. and Mayme Edna. Freeman lived along with his maternal grandmother until he was six years old whereas his parents struggled to find work and build a home for the family in Chicago. He moved to live along with his mom when his granny passed away. Mayme separated from her alcoholic husband and eventually moved the family to Mississippi.
As one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood, Morgan freeman is thought for his iconic voice and movie roles in “The Shawshank Redemption,” “Driving Miss daisy,” “Million dollar Baby,” “Glory” and “The Dark Knight”.
