Employees are eagerly waiting to resolve the disagreements over the issues of the Seventh Pay Commission, while the sources said that this week’s time may be more time to hand over the final report to the government in this regard.
7th Pay Commission Latest Developments On Allowance Committee
The most important question in this whole issue is House Rent Allowance (HRA), which people are still restless about. The question is, when will the government ever give HRA to the employees? Whether this rate will come into effect from January 1, 2016 or it will be implemented from 1st April, 2017. You should know that the employees have been demanding that it be enforced from January 1, 2016, while the Government has indicated it has been enforced from April 1, 2017.
HRA could be increased
In the report of the Pay Commission, HRA initially fixed 24 percent, 16 percent and 8 percent allowance. It was also said that when the Dearness Allowance (DA) reached 50 percent, it would increase to 27, 18 and 9 percent and DA at 100 percent, then this rate would increase to 30, 20 and 10 percent respectively. Although the employee organisation demanded it to be 60, 40 and 20 percent, which the government had turned down. But sources say that the government can increase it to 30, 20 and 10 percent. For information, You should know that before the seventh pay commission, central employees were getting 196 types of accommodation. But the seventh pay commission ended many auctions or added them, after which only 55 vacancies were left.
Previously, one of the three committees who had the case of Allowance has finalised its final casting meeting after the dispute regarding the Allowance in the 7th Pay Commission. It was being said that this report will be handed over to the cabinet by the end of this week. But sources say that the committee is still unable to finalise the report. Sources say that the dialogue is complete, but the committee is still taking enough time to prepare the report. The formula also states that now the committee will take 4-5 days to prepare the report about the allowance. That is, it has become clear that the report has now been postponed for a week.
