<p style=”text-align: justify;”>On July 8, 1972 ,Sourav Chandidas Ganguly was born in capital town Calcutta (now Kolkata), West Bengal. Sourav Ganguly is youngest son of Chandidas and Nirupa Ganguly. Sourav belonged to a rich family in Kolkata. Since his father Chandidas ran a print business and was one among the richest men in town. Sourav’s joint family live’s in Behala, a suburb in Southern Kolkata, hence has nearly 30 residing members with over 45 rooms.

Sourav is right-handed – he writes right-handed, bowls right handed and 1st will every and everything with his right hand. But as his brother Snehashish was left-handed, Sourav held the bat left-handed so he might then use his elder brother’s kit.
