New Delhi: With the update 2.16.189, Whatsapp users will soon have the ability to send a voicemail in case a voice call does not go through or if the recipient declines the call, technology website Android Central reported.
Yes its a new year and there is nothing to like a fresh new set of emoji and to spice up those WhatsApp conversations. The new Unicode 9.0 pack that is rolling out with the new WhatsApp version 2.17.44 brings a new set of emoji. Emoji just like the sick face, bacon, a shrug, a dancing boy and some more profession emoji also.
WhatsApp beta update brings Android 7.1 emojis for everyone:
As per the latest data, mere 0.1 % of the active android devices run android candy. Which means almost nobody is using them in the android world. With this update, WhatsApp is the holding its an users experience the new set of the emojis. If you want to download the beta version of WhatsApp, head to Google Play store on your device. Since visit app’s listing and scroll right down to ‘Become a beta tester’ part. After you enter the beta testing mode, you will be able to download the WhatsApp beta app in a few minutes.
Apple has released the new Unicode of 9.0 emoji sometime its back with the iOS 10.2 rollout. Google pushed out the same via the android 7.1 update, but that once more only applied to the older Nexus and the new picture element range of smartphones.
Regardless of which version of android you are using, WhatsApp 2.17.44 beta (APK Mirror) has implemented the font images to properly display many new emojis that are found in Unicode 9.0 and Emoji 4.0. And If that sounds like jargon and to you then you should know that in layman terms. They’re all the new emojis found in iOS 10.2. but technically, they contain many characters that Google planned to the Unicode committee last year and got approval for and included in android 7.1, like the gender equality and the profession emojis.
I dislike them using the iOS ones because it breaks the continuity of the OS. But at least anyone else using Whatsapp/Telegram sees the same ones and it avoids confusion. When the emojis can differ in meaning between styles.
